Because of its soothing qualities, the harp is often used with ill or dying patients in hospitals, hospices and nursing homes.
Several members of the Sacramento Valley Harp Circle are Certified Music Practitioners (not to be confused with Music Therapy) who volunteer their time playing for those who request their services or whose families request it.
Many have trained with the Music for Transition and Healing Program.
